I'm not really into this week's #CrochetAway theme #GrannySquares but I once made this little Sunflower Dress (pattern by Donna Browne of BabyCrochetDesign).

#crochet 🧶

The Paradox of Tolerance disapears if you look at tolerance not as a moral standard but as a social contract. If someone does not abide by the terms of the contract, then they are ot covered by it. In other words: The intolerant are not following the rules of the social contract of mutual tolerance. Since they have broken the terms of the contract, they are no longer covered by the contract, and their intolerance should NOT be tolerated. This week's #CrochetAway theme is freestyle.

I just finished the OrangePekoeTea bag, a mosaic crochet pattern by Red Teapot Atelier. I love how the (halloween) colors orange, teal and black look like a sundown.

I totally forgot last week's #CrochetAway theme: Things you're proud of.

I'm pretty proud of the #FreeformCrochet blanket I made based on an idea by Kirsti Hallamaa.
I also like how the Very Hungy Caterpillar playset turned out. I used the peacock butterfly pattern by Lalylala / Lydia Tresselt.
A blanket with lots of colorful birds that look like a kid had drawn them. There are also a few worms and snails inbetween. Four of the birds of the blanket in closeup. Each bird looks like a kid drew it with an oval body, long neck, round head with one eye in the middle and a large beak. Wings and tail seem to be just two or three feathers. The first bird is green with purple wings and tail, the second is orange with red wings and tail, the third bird is yellow with aqua wings and tail (and a rounder body) and the last bird is purple with aqua wings and tail. A crochet playset for the Very Hungry Caterpillar: The Butterfly in the middle with a red head, a green body and colorful wings, lying on two large leaves, the brown and orange cocoon lying above and the white egg lying on the left of the butterfly. The actual crochet caterpillar with a red head with large, yellow eyes and purple antennae. Now, that it's not wearing its wings, you can see the body is made of segments in several greens.

This week's #CrochetAway theme is baby items. For my niece's birth I made her a teether with some exchangeable and washable bunny ears (pattern by Liz McQueen) and a couple of rattles (by Crochet 365 Knit Too).

This week's #CrochetAway theme is birthdays. These are various presents I made for my niece's and nephews' birthdays, the doll Knubbelchen (that I actually made for the day of my niece's birth), some cakes and cookies, and a playset about the life cycle of a bee.
A crochet "Knubbelchen", a rag doll with long arms, legs and a hat all ending in tips (some with knots at the end). The Knubbelchen is made from a print yarn in pastell colors yellow, orange and blue. Some crochet pastries: Two cupcakes, one topped with a strawberry, the other topped with rasberries; two donuts, one with white glaze, one with pink glaze, both with sprinkles; four cookies, two oreo style, two "Prinzenrolle" style (vanilla cookies with chocolate filliing). A crochet bee: a white head with a brown hat with dark brown antennae, a brown and yellow striped body with four cute little white wings. The whole bee life-cycle playset: a white egg with an opeing for the larva with a white head and light yellow body and a matching light yellow hat, a "suit" for the larva with yellow and brown stripes and white wings with a matching brown head with dark brown antennae, three honeycombs and a peachy pink blossom with yellow stamen and light green pistil.

For this week's #CrochetAway theme Animals I have a butterfly, a deer and a kid. 🧶

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the peacock butterfly by Lalylala, made from Sheepjes River Washed and Stone Washed to mimic Carle's collage look.

I also made the dress-dp deer by Madelenon and Dendennis' Shark Boy.

I totally forgot to post this week's #CrochetAway. The theme is blue—and I love blue. I made clothes and shawls, toys and even christmas ornaments in blue.

The top two thirds of each sweater is light blue (slightly different shades), the bottom third is white. In the middle of each sweater is a cute penguin with a green scarf and a red and green bobble hat. The penguin on the small sweater in the middle uses toned down colors (pink and light green for the garment, dark grey (and white) for the penguin itself), the other penguins are in brighter colors (green, red, and black & white, respectively). A crochet shawl, shaped like half a star, hanging in front of a green bush. The shawl has grey and blue stripes and uses different kinds of stitch patterns, some stripes with holes, others with bobbles. A crochet elephant made from plushy chenille yarn. The elephant is white with light and dark blue sprinkles and blue ears and legs. He is wearing a dark red scarf. Several crochet baubles in different colors, mostly blues, turquoises and green, but in one of the corners there is also half a bauble in rainbow colors.

We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject -- an illegal alien -- to evade arrest. Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he's been in custody since, but the Judge's obstruction created increased danger to the public. We will have more to share soon.
