Holy crap. The new owner of the Coast guard property that Concord wanted to give away to BRIDGE housing (a housing “nonprofit”) wants to build 714 townhouses and apartments on the 55 acre site

1. Nobody wants to watch an “inclusive” baseball game. The fans are there because the players are great.

Your periodic reminder that Geary Blvd is plenty wide to support elevated trains which could be built more quickly and cheaply than a subway.

If this thing breaks ground in San Francisco I’m going to laugh (if you aren’t familiar with SF housing drama, SF appears to be required to approve this due to state housing law and a clever developer)

California plans to build absurdly monumental HSR stations. They shouldn’t. The only thing that matters in station design is being able to get to the trains quickly.
