AAHHH I've been trying to get Necromolds for a while now, but it's hard to ship that one to South America.

Definitely in my (and my little daughter's) radar... Looks awesome.

Will check the others you mentioned as well, thx!

I think the other side to all of this is "you probably shouldn't trust blindly any/all labellers / verification systems" which might be a problem communities face in the near future

(and/or malicious use of those systems)

For example, this is a Label created by @hunterw.bsky.social specifically for this purpose. bsky.app/profile/did:...

(subscribe to the Label to see it under verified user handles)

Whether you trust Hunter Walker for the job of verifying accounts is up to you, but that's the point.

contrast with trusting in big, centralized entities. We've been burnt by that many times now.
Neither system is perfect, but I believe #decentralized gives more power to the people.
I say we try more of that for a bit and see how it goes :]

I mean yeah, smaller, decentralized authorities have the typical disadvantages of becoming stale, abandoned or taken over; they're usually maintained by individuals in their free time, etc... But that's just like open source projects, and that's been working pretty good for decades now.

Why would you trust a single, central entity (like Bluesky corp in this case) to give "blue checks" based on some arbitrary method or classification?

Wouldn't it be better if a community driven entity or group decided to check veracity based on interests by subculture/niche? (via the Labels system)

Is the map or the zine available* digitally? I'm guessing not, after checking the campaign page, but just wanted to check ...

...because buying the whole physical thing will kill my wallet (shipping to South America and all that)

* or are there plans to make it available digitally in the future?
