Thanks CSHL for the photos, my facial expressions on them are priceless. I think this one is a keeper for replying to a lot of stuff on the internets...

Excited to be back at the CSHL meeting on DNA replication this week! Campus views are amazing as always, looking forward to all the science!

Sameera Vipat, the first PhD student from our lab, successfully defended her thesis in Tallinn yesterday! Congratulations to Sameera, and a huge thank you to @lmyler.bsky.social for being an opponent and a great scientific discussion!

We carried an agarose/EtBr gel to the imager on a plastic box cover that was labeled with red sharpie. The gel acquired a nice but unexpected label. How did this happen? The box was not imaged. Sharpies don't get washed off that easily. What kind of sorcery is this?
The label says "biotin HA 6/6"

The cover reminds me of this type of genome rearrangement diagrams. Not sure if this is intentional, but it looks very nice, congratulations!

Hey Bluesky people! Has anyone encountered and solved an issue with transferring the upper part of 4-20%tris-glycine gels, by any chance? Showing fastgreen stain of the membrane, and just a gel stain to compare. Proteins are resolved, but they don't transfer. Tris-acetate gels transfer fine.

Found a pic of this micro box for blot strips I bought by accident, while deleting my old tweets. Bsky deserves to see it too:)
