I built Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion and Master Chef 5 months ago, and it was my first dedicated +1/+1 counters deck.
Why didn't I build it sooner? They keep printing white hot fire with every new set.

I don't want to be the "Oh shit the sky's falling" person, but this card is pushed.
Granted I'll never play with, and probably won't play against, this card, but any artifact mana giving something split second is cracked.
At least they costed it effectively, although treasures exist.

And there's 10,000. When I had the list on TappedOut before, I had about that many views. However, you could have it show up on the front page once a day. I was also more active on Twitter.
These days I don't mess with any of that, so for it to slowly creep to 10k is breathtaking.

Also played this in early iterations of The Pile for obvious reasons.
The only other justification I had for it was that Iona was legal at the time, and people played her in Kaalia without anyone batting an eye.

When I had RG Omnath together, I ran this because I also had multiple ways to get extra land drops. Totally got why people were upset about it, but it benefited me so much it was worth it.

I think if you give it a year, Stock Up will probably be banned in Legacy and restricted in Vintage. It's insanely good.

Personally, I like playing exile-based removal due in part to how easy it can be to recur permanents from the graveyard, and sometimes you just need something gone gone. My playgroup doesn't utilize Riftsweeper or Pull from Eternity, so it's oftentimes a safe bet.

I'm thankful that one of the last Secret Lairs I was able to purchase, IIRC, was the @rovinacai.bsky.social drop. I know how difficult hands can be to draw, and the Aether Vial alone was enough to get me to buy it.

With the announcement that they aren't going to be continuing to print Collector Boosters and Bundles for Foundations, I knew I needed to pull the trigger on a Llanowar Elves and a Doubling Season. I also knew that since I play the Elves in the Pile, I might as well go the extra distance.

Maybe use things like the Talisman cycle and Retreat to Kazandu to regulate my life total and bring back small creatures for value?
