I think the reason that chuck Schumer is folding is because the air traffic crisis is the first part of this that might actually effect him and his rich donors so he's folding after even a fraction of the suffering so many of the American people have felt this month

it's really unfortunate that we turned out to be this stupid and venal. that we so willfully handed over rights and liberties to swindlers and warlords and ransackers and south africans. but we did. it genuinely makes me sad. i really did like a lot of things about our country
