"shared what appeared to be". Seriously, the NYT, in its headline, uses "what appeared to be" to described this video. Who can take journalism seriously at this point?

Because the people doing the reporting don't know what a comptroller does.

The story and the picture together convey a depth than neither does on its own. Wonderful!

Psychologically? Harder than you think. It's the difference between "you got this thing" and "you didn't have to give this thing". One is the addition of an actual gain, the other is the removal of a potential loss. That is conceptually hard for some people to hold onto.

Setting up requirements that will disenfranchise millions of voters because you didn't bother to first address access to the requirements before starting them is absolutely a shit-show of planning. Order of operations is important in math, and matters of law.

I have no complaints about the sound. Trying to get 25,000 people to hear a single sound system outside a stadium is rough. Y'all did great.

Of all sources, The Atlantic's article on this felt surprisingly "pander to the president" of the major coverage I saw.

I love Kickstarter board games. I see a lot of pricier print-and-play board games in the future for Kickstarter.

His speech was more than a show of stamina and endurance, backed by intelligent discourse and history. It was also an homage to spirit, heart, hope, and the love and care of humanity.

When he struggled for what to say next, he turned to the stories from his constituents, the stories from leaders who came before him, and the stories of those who stood up for the shared human values he was appealing to. He focused on telling human stories, and to fuel hope for better.
