The Republican candidate got 54% of the vote, while a Democrat who has been described as a "AOC of the South" got 45% in a gerrymandered Trump district. That should make many House members in +10 Trumo districts nervous.

I remember an op-ed in The Tennessean cautioning Republicans not to go 'whole-hog' on redistricting. I hope the seat flips to Democrats and state and federal officials start worrying they might lose their seats via extreme gerrymandering.

I am trying to imagine this occurring to white evangelicals, many of whom have created personal armories to keep the government from taking over.

That was around the time my dad went off the deep end saying he thought Obama was a secret Muslim. The power of Fox News playing clips over-and-over made thruths from fiction.

They certainly would have better messaging. Actively preventing food subsidies for 40 million people and unaffordable healthcare would be key talking points for GOP messaging if positions were reversed... Not, we tried and failed.

Going to note that the GOP and likely 5 SCOTUS members support ending SNAP. The best in this horrid situation is likely consequences to the GOP for ending SNAP.

Lot of words to describe this administration that are apt. Thuggish, authoritarian, lawless, vile, fools, corrupt, etc. I would argue evil in many cases. Who votrs to cut nutrition programs for the poor and vulnerable and refuses to fund it?
