• When power corrupts, poetry cleanses. For art establishes the basic human truths, which must serve as the touchstone of our judgment.

Students are asked the questions, given sentence starters, and asked to discuss them with the group before writing them on paper. Allowing the students to talk it out before writing alleviates the anxiety of not knowing what to write.
