its mostly all the top upvoted reviews being crappy jokes thats mildly annoying and unhelpful

on rym you can choose to not "publish" it to the main page, all your followers will see it but it doesnt have to follow the rules which seems an ok compromise. but i definitely get it, i use most review stuff as notes to myself haha

i remember back in the day when they "unpublished" reviews which were just one sentence jokes or generally not about the music and at the time i was like "boo no fun" but now seeing what top letterboxd and albumoftheyear reviews are like (useless) i support it. even tho it can be a little much
