Saw this a long time ago, remembered almost nothing, rewatched for the, “How did this beat Woolf?” of it all.

Hot Take: A good, underrated winner. Scofield too. And, uh, some very timely themes, let’s just say that.

Worth a rewatch if it’s been a minute and your love language is integrity.

I saw a "Name a perfect album from the 90s that isn't x, y, or z" post and decided to review the Album of the Year lists from the Grammys, a deeply deranged and unwell organization.

1999 though...that's a 5 for 5 lineup, I fear.

You've inherited a movie theater, what's your first double feature?

(My first answer weeks ago was Lesley Manville-themed. Let's call this one, "90ish years later and still funnier than your fave.")

Crimes of the Heart (1986) is one of the worst films I’ve ever seen ❤️

Still on Prime for the next 23 hrs!

Random - I thought the tagline at the top of the poster sounded familiar…and then I stumbled on this! Admittedly, I am not one of the tens of people who have seen Maxie since its debut. I’m assuming it is not an homage to Darling?

I know this is about the Best Actresses, but since it's 1965 and the Academy never recognized him (too busy recognizing *checks notes* Ship of Fools...), can we take a moment to celebrate an iconic image of cinema?

no idea what this film will be about, but the casting is so wild that…how could i not be seated?

Nobody saw 54 (1998) because it was...well, not good.

But! As a PSA to those whose brain chemistry was altered by Cruel Intentions (1999) at an impressionable age, the Director's Cut version of 54 features a bisexual Mr. Phillippe in a little bowtie, body glitter, and rarely a garment on his torso.
