Graduate student, currently working on ice sheet, solid earth deformation, sea level change, interested in many things about geodynamics, earth, and modeling.
Our modeling shows that the wax and wane of ice sheets causes large-scale lithospheric horizontal motion and affects the spreading of mid-ocean ridges, including Iceland.

New model reshapes understanding of sudden sea level rise after last ice age • Muser Press
Around 14,500 years ago, the Earth experienced a rapid sea level rise of up to 65 feet within just 500 years — a dramatic event known as Meltwater Pulse 1a.

I humbly offer for your consideration the foundational, and therefore most important, paper in the history of my scientific field. I specifically wish to draw your attention to the fact that

it is FOUR PARAGRAPHS long

FOUR as in 4

Ice (or snow?) on the ground near the North Pole from Google Earth: Dec 1930 (left) vs Dec 2020 (right). Are they good representations for the winter of the year, or are daily differences more significant?
