I was given this book today by a coworker. Has anyone read 鴨川食堂: The Restaurant of Lost Recipes? It looks cute 💕

I found 『木曜日にココア』(Cocoa on Thursdays) by Michiko Aoyama. I absolutely loved What You Are Looking For Is in the Library, so I’m excited to give this a read 💕

Took a personal day & went to my favorite gluten-free bakery. Had a dreamy strawberry pistachio tart & couldn’t resist the sakura-shaped macaron (chocolate cherry flavored). No regrets 🌸#glutenfree #bookishbreak

One double cappuccino for the illusion of being put together ☕✨ and one straight espresso shot for the sheer act of survival. 🫠 Today’s aesthetic: running on fumes and questionable life choices. #SendHelp #CaffeineIsMyPersonalityNow

My husband bought me 『魔女のまなざし』(The Witch’s Gaze) today! It’s by Eiko Kadono, the author of Kiki’s Delivery Service, and it looks so cute. 🧙‍♀️✨ I want to start reading, but I took a week off because of work and dissertation burnout. Hoping to ease back into books with something magical

鬼は外! 福は内! 👹✨”

We learned about Setsubun today, and my students made their own Oni masks—just in time to chase away bad luck! #Setsubun #OniWaSoto #JapaneseClassFun

Just in time! ⏳✨ My students made it to a #書き初め (kakizome) session right before January slipped away! First calligraphy for the new year. Better late than never, right?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower—I loved the deep relationships and the little nods to Pittsburgh life 🖤💛 #southwestPAgirl The letter format worked, but the movie brought the story to life in a way I preferred. Both are worth your time, but the film edges it out for me #booksky

I just entered one of my stories into a short story contest! It’s not something I usually do, but I’m trying to share my writing more. I write under the pen name Joey Juszkiewicz, a tribute to my grandpa, Joseph Juszkiewicz, who meant a lot to me 💕

Today might be grey and cold, but my new kitty mug is bringing all the cozy vibes! I just know Tress would approve—I can feel it. This little kitty is holding a cappuccino, and honestly, it’s working its magic to help me wake up. ☕🐾

Sharing some gems from an activity I call Reader, Writer, Illustrator! 🖌️📖 The students take turns as the reader (reads sentences outside), the writer (writes them down), and the illustrator (brings them to life). It’s always a hit.

It’s Friday, I’m exhausted, and caffeine is my co-pilot. My poor Stanley is sitting neglected because it’s cold out, and instead of responsibly drinking water, I decided to buy a Dr Pepper, hoping it would inspire me. Spoiler alert: it hasn’t yet, but I still have a few hours 😅

Just finished The Last Murder at the End of the World, and I’m so glad it was recommended to me. It’s such a great mix of genres. Did anyone else read and love this one?
