Small number of viral episodes come to mind that skew narrative (which is what the NYT quote is doing). I guess all I’m saying is that if a student is so frustrated, I wish they’d try to address it in person and assume the best (rather than worst) of a professor before amplifying?

Yeaaaa, I’m of the camp that it’s never cool for professors to publicly shame their students (or share work/communications without permission). We should never punch down or back.
While quote is hyperbolic, I do feel there is a (micro?) trend of students who view profs as bad actors. Thoughts? 1/
