I landed in Manila last night after 17hrs of travel, slept well, and I'm gearing up for four days of awesomeness at #ISCA2025 with international school counsellors, caregivers, and researchers from around the world!

I actually wrote about that in my first book! "Misunderstood: The Impact of Growing Up in the 21st Century" starts by examining those differences, then goes on to look at the TCK experience in the internet age. I did nearly 300 interviews and surveyed 750 #TCKs.

Yesterday I had a large mole burned off my neck. It was always there but in the last 10 yrs slowly started to change, protruding and less attached to the skin. I had it regularly checked and there were no signs of melanoma, but it got quite irritating so my doctor removed it for me.

I'm probably most well known as the author of Misunderstood: The Impact of Growing Up Overseas in the 21st Century. Released in 2016, in Misunderstand I draw on 270 interviews with TCKs from diverse backgrounds and a survey of 750+ Adult TCKs to share how #TCKs experience international childhoods.

My latest book, co-authored with Kath Williams, was released in June 2024. It is the ultimate handbook for Australian families living overseas and Australian young people returning "home" after an extended time away. For all Aussie #TCKs and #AussiesAbroad
