Currently working on a new short video talking about my favourite trilogy of all time. It's not really a review but more so talking about how the Donkey Kong Country games got me into video games. I'm hoping to get this out around the time of DKC2's 30th anniversary. I hope you look forward to it.

So far in 2025 I've played through the first 4 Yakuza games & after just finished 4 last night I'm tempted to jump on 5. I think I've become glued to this series. Akiyama my beloved. 💜

Overall I think I had a pretty good team. Never had Kangaskhan before who was alright with strong physicals making shadow ball useful. I think this is a pretty good game but maybe it's just me whose played a bunch of JRPGs but it got easy quickly. They is some post game stuff but I might wait a bit.

Beat the Elite Four in PKMN Leafgreen last night. I thought with the remake I go with a different team starting out with a Squirtle instead of a Bulbasaur. My MVPs were Sandslash with their strength & Raichu with their speed. The Sandshrew line are my fav line in the series. Hitmonlee also hit hard.

I'm going to replay this game again (probably next year) to fully grasp my thoughts especially since SO can be pretty short for a RPG. I may even play the original Super Famicom game too at some point.

Played through Star Ocean First Departue (PSP) with a friend over the last few weeks & it was a fascinating experience. It's not beginner friendly considering it's many hidden mechanics & going in fully blind will probably have you struggling but it's fun to dissect with it's crafting system.

Heaven or Hell mode is sure is something in DMC4. Thought I had to restart the mission of this. Funny to see the old geezer fall through the floor. XD

Make sure your restricted mode is turned off when you watch videos on YT as apparently some people are having it on by default which has been hiding a lot of videos. The image on the left is when YT has restricted mode on & the right is restricted off.

Thought I give one of the CDi games a shot thanks to someone able to bring these games on PC & I'm amazed that someone was willing to bother with these games. I only played The Faces of Evil as I couldn't get the other one working & it's just as bad as the internet says. Thankfully it was short.

Links Awakening is just ok. I think I might like the remake when I get round to it just for having more buttons.

Finished Link's Awakening DX earlier today. Graphically this game is remarkable & most of the things that were in Link to the Past was translated well. The photo shoot images are cute & the cutscenes in the beginning/credits look great on a Gameboy. Actually playing it though? Thought it was fine...
