iirc, the studio wanted a take without them kissing because they feared backlash. So for every take after the kiss they would screw something up so that the only usable shot was the one with the kiss.

I'm not trying to tell you what your process should be. You obviously know what's best for you. Just offering some thoughts/an outside perspective I suppose.

I think people might run into that same issue and just assume it is AI.

So maybe using AI images as a reference is adding to the issue, and maybe you are picking up a couple of stylistic things unconsciously using them as a reference?

You said you credit artists/tutorials when you use them (which is good, of course), but you didn't in this particular case because it was AI.

Which I thought it was AI initially, and the thing that it is based on was AI generated (which does have a look in how things are framed, etc...)

Which again, is why I was asking and not trying to directly accuse you of anything.

I'd think it'd be real shitty to be accused of using AI when you're a person who is making an honest attempt at creating something. Leading me to my initial reason for posting...

I think it could partially be people being more skeptical in general, due to the amount of AIgen stuff around now, and that any digital paintings that aren't super detailed _could_ be AI, and a lot of people don't have the patience or knowledge on what to look for and just throw out accusations.

Rather than just a "you're tracing over AI generated images and trying to pass it off as your own totally original art".
Because I saw this, thought it initially looked AI generated, saw your brush work, and thought that didn't look AI generated, reverse seared that image and found it on Pinterest.

I didn't run it through any AI detention software, the account that posted it has AI in the name.

I never claimed you used AI, just asked if you traced over an AI generated image.

And yes, that can actually be useful for people starting out, I read your profile, hence the question...

Nope, just pinched and zoomed. It's possible there's some artifacting from the site compressing it when you uploaded it, but that's what the image looks like.

I think this is AI generated slop. Random shapes everywhere, weird amounts of fingers, things just blending into each other, one guy is holding a rifle to his forehead and the elephant is somehow holding the barrel of it despite 3 rows of people between them? More in the alt text for the images.
