Apparently it's some binder they used in older injectable meds that hurts like hell for a subset of people.

I *am* supposed to be looking into switching off of this injectable and onto a comparable oral med in the same class, but I imagine whatever copay card that has will get nerfed soon, too. Because profit is more important than patient health.

On the other hand... I was trying to schedule this for the lull before Thanksgiving and the winter Covid/flu/etc surges happen. But now it's all in limbo, and I guess I'll have to wait for spring? 🙁

Apparently they can't sit without excruciating pain, and have muscle/coordination issues. Sounds super scary, and I wish we had a government that cared about helping people with long-Covid/preventing Covid in the first place. But alas.

Thinking about this more - the FD can call in trucks from neighboring cities when needed. Why can't the PD call in a couple cops from Arlington or Medford in a situation like this if they really don't have enough people to handle the situation?

And then none of the dozen city/utility people who drove past us while we were keeping the road closed felt like telling us when it was finally open. They just quietly drove away down the other end of the street 🙄

My partner and I directed traffic for 90 minutes, but when a neighbor called the city, they were told there's no one on the city end who can direct traffic in a situation like this... which feels like major shenanigans to me 🫠
