What was really helpful was that teachers/pupils helped make them feel welcomed back. They had notes and input so they could access learning easily and felt like they could still make it.
And make it they did…!
Attendance is definitely a protective factor. It’s caring why they are not there though.

Curriculum - BIG to discuss.
- Great pedagogy
- High expectations accompanied by chunking and really good scaffolding
Great use of AfL.
Can think of spc examples where children have succeeded in high challenge content due to approach.
Planning still pivotal IMO.
Hope lots join in - I’ll follow.

I think schools (many) with great culture and ethos frequently ask that q.
Belonging is so big - and also can happen when people help you adhere to boundaries, develop self regulation, become independent.
Really strong relational practice.

Not going to do this justice in short space!

Don’t think so re behaviour policy but do think curriculum is an opportunity.
