Enjoying my first visit to the Queen Charlotte, the ex-Draft House in Fitzrovia, recently rejuvenated by the Blue Maid team. Great selection of beers, and their martinis look the business too

Tried out the Waitrose Dan Dan paste to make lunch today (as I'm always in a noodley mood at lunch). Not bad - needs more Szechuan spice though. I added tahini to the mix and Lao Gan Ma on top, and a few ladles of chicken stock as a broth. Will make again.

It was okay - tender and tasty but not as strongly flavoured as char siu or something like that. But an easy supper.

I am having marinated pork belly with sticky rice and chilli sesame stir fried pak choi and broccoli. Seasalter AF IPA to accompany.

Had such a great past few days of good oaks, good beer, good food & a couple of amazing gigs. Visited Ottolenghi, @kernelbrewery.bsky.social, @thehoplocker.bsky.social. Finished off with a Ginger Pig roast, so good! Excellent crackling!
