At GCSE, current flows from + to -. At A level, electrons flow from - to +. At university, holes and electrons move in opposite directions. I'm not sure any of those is a complete description!

I remember frequently in the military where the Pay Review Body's recommendations were either diluted or dismissed and we forewent (if that's the past tense of forego) our pay rise.

The challenges that even able-bodied employees face in the USA simply getting to a polling booth are incomprehensible to most Brits who generally have a polling station within a mile of their address and minimal bureaucracy or queuing when they get there. 4-hour queues in the open are not democracy.

My uncle married a 7th generation American who was a classics teacher. Visiting them as a teenager, I recall her saying she couldn't understand how Carter became President because none of her friends had voted for him. Sadly, I was too young to reposte properly. I guess she was early days MAGA.
