"Isn't it soooo frustrating to have to keep fighting to uphold your principles?" Yes and very human to do so. "Don't you want to stop doing that and forget about it forever?" Well no actually. Practically ragebait in addition to being kind of the most boring way to end a story.
theres really no way to describe the bewildered anger i feel when a novel spends 400+ pages circling the main characters principles and their struggle to uphold them just for it to end with them retiring to a cottage in the hills with their lover
