I've been enjoying using the clipping feature on NewspaperArchive by Storied as of late. Today is the anniversary of my grandmother's death in 2006 and I added the clipping from her obit to my family history archive; also @wikitree.bsky.social & FamilySearch Family Tree profiles. RIP grandma! 💔

Love a little profile bling! I'm starting to add these genealogy labels from Black Pearls of Genealogy onto my online genealogy work. This is one I've just added to a profile I'm working on at @wikitree.bsky.social and FamilySearch.

Speaking of BillionGraves - this is a visual representation of many of the headstones I've photographed at a historic black cemetery in Nashville. I am very much wanting to get back and take more! #genealogy #gravesites

The BillionGraves team had a monument company bring actual headstones to their booth at RootsTech so demos could be done on how to use the app - ha! Read more in their blog post recap blog.billiongraves.com/billiongrave.... Pretty cool. I LOVE using this app to take GPS-tracked headstone photos!

now listening to archivist Gratia Stother, talking about how to navigate Methodist church records. She describes Francis Asbury's role - interesting to learn as there's a connection to Asbury in the history of one of the churches where my ancestors worshipped. #genealogy

In this webinar about court records, Chuck Sherril describes the WPA-created transcripts of county court records. These are a great resource in the Tennessee State Library & Archives' collection. They are not always perfect, but can be a good place to start! #genealogy
