queasy feeling about how the MH that was around before I could use metal cutlery will always be a thing of the past. We won't see a new instalment like FU. If Capcom ever does remaster an old game, it'll most likely be riddled with quality of life, hyperinflated skill lists and too agile movement.

I don't care if I sound all "it was better back in the day". Be real, it was. There's a world out there, where artistic decisions for big budget games are made purely based on what would make a game better by its own standards. Newer MH games could return or build on old systems in ways that don't-

Wilds is a fun game. 2nd gen taught me Wilds is one of the uncountably many steps away from the series core design and uniqueness, steps that Capcom has both taken and will take in years to come. The series' insane profitability since World has killed any chance of older MH principles returning.

I'm just past the Ouroboros fight currently so there's plenty of story ahead, but so far I'm getting pretty heavy vibes of what I imagined in my concept. GE means less into authoritarianism, and has a pretty different aesthetic, but otherwise it's really on the nose and I love it.

I voted SotE out of honesty to my own experience. It's the only one on the list I've played, so I'm biased as fuck. I do, however, hope DLC like this is its own category moving forward, given that separate release versions (like MH4U) for base games+DLC are less commonly seen as standalones anymore.
