PS the book is a heavily annotated copy of Frisius’s Arithmeticae practicae methodus facilis (Paris, 1563), that found its way to John Pell (I suspect via Reginald - Pell was married to his daughter Ithamaria)

Ha! Excepting Rob jnr’s sister Jacomyn, they are all Robert/Peter/Thomas/Mary/Martha…your tree trumps mine!

Wow! I have a record suggesting Rob (d. 1641, master of Trinity House in 1617, sheriff of London in 1640) married Elizabeth Andrewes, widow of Rob Bonner, also of Leigh, and a named beneficiary in Rob snr (d. 1591) will. Am I right that Andrewes’s father also had Trinity House connections?

And, as you’ll know, his school was in Stepney

Yes! I think this is the daughter of Robert Salmon (Mariner of Leigh, d. 1591), but the book is also inscribed by Henry Reginald, schoolmaster, and father of Bathsua Makin…

Thanks! It’s a catalogue entry that otherwise reads “fo[lio]…Gomecij Leoninij decisiones” so just wondering if it’s an abbreviated honorific I’m missing somehow
