Love and am intrigued by this photo taken in Paris in the late 1940s. Dude on the right is my mother’s uncle; couple in the middle are my father’s uncle and aunt. Have no idea what they were doing or what brought them together; don’t think they had further contact until my folks married in the 70s.

Her book. Seemingly the childish hand of the scholar, educator and linguist Bathsua Reginald Makin, born 1600. Fittingly, here her book was a multilingual dictionary, bound in vellum, a proper unit.
