Aging Aussie precariously balanced between fury, despair and determination to make things slightly better.
Caught a random episode in a hotel and it was the one with George Clooney! Such a good show.

Late to this but have you tried Chicken Tante Celestine? It was in Margaret Fulton’s cookbook that my mother had and I was fascinated by it

This is a delightful book! I’d seen good reviews and I read it last night in a single sitting. Happy endings for 3 characters in such an elegant and plausible resolution. Thank you

Sorry you’re feeling shitty and even if you can’t achieve everything today, maybe chip off a tiny piece and feel good about that.

This is my Hercules, flirting with the neighbours who came daily to feed him while I was away. He’s normally shy with strangers, but apparently if they’re the only option for pats, he’s Mr Sociable

Very impressed you can catch them all at once! Once I have one in the box, the other gets super hard to catch. Masterful cat-wrangling

This is a bad policy badly implemented. I’ve tried to believe ALP is fundamentally better than the Coalition but your support for coal and gas, the event political funding bullshit and the stuff you’re ignoring for this nonsense means I’ll be voting independent or green for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for this, which kept me happily distracted from my real work on a Friday afternoon. You’re a treasure and I’ll check out anything you recommend.

Nearly caved and ordered takeaway, but I made this instead and I’m so glad I did. Absolutely delicious and heaps for the coming days. Definitely added to the roster. Thanks!

Spent hours reading recaps at my desk - I think of this when discussing of remote work - I had no trouble slacking off in the office. They underestimate the commitment to loafing.

I have been binging these and am in awe of your world building and how you created such a complex story without it getting out of control. Thank you. Such a rich world and the characters have such distinct voices and viewpoints.

I love your reviews because I always get a really clear sense of whether the book will hit the mark with me or not.
It’s a great skill.
I’ve never regretted following up one of your recommendations that sounded my jam.
