Marseille's statement about their habitually terrible treatment of away fans is basically 'bof' typed as a prompt into ChatGPT. You can almost hear the indifferent shrugging of shoulders. #nufc

So, any idea what a "head of football strategy" might do? I'm starting to be mildly concerned that there are more chiefs than indians at #nufc. I know we were understaffed before and maybe we need them all. Anyone have any insight?

As Tommy Lee Jones apparently said to Jim Carrey when he couldn't take any more of his antics, "I cannot sanction your buffoonery." I'm the same with Osula, but I think I'm just old.

I am going to need one of those pressure jets they use to get chewing gum off pavements to move my daughter from the sofa in front of the A/C today.

I now have an alternative movie universe in my head where Stellan stayed on playing the manager through the Mike Ashley years and gave this as his speech before leaving. It perfectly fits the mood of the place under Steve Bruce. #nufc

I am probably the last to discover this but my mind is blown that Andor's Diego Luna and Stellan Skarsgård were originally in cast Goal! and filmed a couple of scenes before the director left and the film was completely changed. #nufc

The Sycamore Gap vandalism still makes me unreasonably angry. It was a symbol of a place I love, yes, but that doesn't fully explain why I feel so strongly about it. Maybe it just represents the wanton destruction of good things by bad people, the defining trend of our age.

A sobering read. I'm still hoping against hope that the US changes political direction before it's too late; I can't even imagine what it's like right now for the UK's intelligence services and military.

Good to see @milessi.bsky.social and the Football Manager team making the right choice for the fans. An unfinished game should not be sold. I hope it doesn't hit Sports Interactive too hard financially in the short term and that FM26 is a huge success. www.footballmanager.com/news/develop...

Leaving Ashington by train to go to Newcastle on the new Northumberland line. It's not glamorous, basically a car park and a glorified bus shelter, but it's a game changer for this part of the world.

Like everyone else from the North East of England, I've got photos of many visits to Sycamore Gap on Hadrian's Wall. It is a literal landmark, part of our physical, cultural and emotional geography. And now some vandal has chopped it down overnight. 1/2
