Thank you Ice Man.

Currently Reading - The Secret History by Donna Tartt

It’s been a long time since I’ve laughed at loud while reading. Tartt is able to bend and stretch words in a way that is lyrical.

I’ve had to stop many, many times and re-read parts just bc it was so damn good.

Does anyone have any experience or insights into the Tough Guys Book Club?

There’s a new Dallas chapter being established, and I’m interested in checking it out.

But I have neither the time nor the interest in joining any more cults at the moment.

Thank you @marcofinnegan.bsky.social for putting this on my radar.

“You can’t kill a tree and not kill the past.”

Such a profound message in such a short sentence.

Currently Spinning - Better Lovers

As much as I love DEP, Killer Be Killed, and The Black Queen, I feel like Better Lovers might be my favorite project from Greg Puciato.

IMO, “At All Times” can only be born from pain of growth. Of rediscovering the light after wandering through the darkness.

I couldn’t stop staring at this cover at my LCS. I’ve only read through once, but this book completely stopped me in my tracks.

It’s unsettling in the best possible way.

The Mel Robbins podcast has the capacity to change lives.

But this episode in particular with Dr. Gabor Maté, also has the capacity to save them.

Released nearly a quarter of a century ago. But could have been written yesterday.

Currently Reading - The Giver by Lois Lowry

My daughter is reading this for school, and I’ve picked up a copy to read along with her.

I don’t know how I managed to miss out on this book. I didn’t know what to expect, but Lowry’s universe resonates strongly with where we seem to be headed.
