Regardless, I'm pleased to see that teaching seems to suit you.

Damn, did I read a lot of JUNK about Kennedy as a teen (ca 1990). Anyway I didn't ask, because of that, but kids certainly did.

Curses. I'll keep that in mind if I ever have to replace my current DrGrip Gel. (Unlikely, I don't use it nearly as much as I used to do to changing work conditions)

There is (or was) a Dr Grip gel that uses the same cartridge as a G2. I used to rip G2s apart as emergency refills back in the day. I dont know if the internals on a non Gel DrGrip are similar enough.

Anyway, I made it into a travelers journal

It'll have to wait to I'm back at the house & I'll get you a photo.

Or you could drop by at some point.

Well, the front was poorly glued in (and it's over 15 years old) so that basically popped off so now so I have to do is get the back paper unglued then clean this up & decide what do with it.

Neither! It's glued to it!

And by "hates fountain pens" I mean turns a CM Pilot Metro into a scratchy, horrifying mess. Just thick, toothy, slow-drying wood pulp.

I've met cardboard that was a better writing experience.

Pilot Metro is such a good choice. Both of mine came with both a cartridge & a convertor

Oh dear...

No. I just got a bunch of brush pens to play with & a CM Pilot Metro & I'm still stalking Sheaffers...

But that BB nib? Mercy!

I'm not surprised JetPens comes through. Thank you!

Oh yeah, hand cramps & one of my three different types of hand pain have basically vanished w gel ink then, later, fountain pens.
December 9, 2024 at 11:59 PM
Forgive the handwriting, it's speedy & angular, but my best work.
December 9, 2024 at 9:23 PM
The top is the line from my DrGrip, the bottom from a Pilot Metropolitan, which I'd recommend as a starter pen in this case (or either a Platinum Plaisir or Lamy Safari or AL-star). All are roughly in the 20-30 USD range.
December 9, 2024 at 9:22 PM
What do you value about the G2?
For years I used a Dr grip with g2 05 refills bc it was a reliable line and the gel ink was much easier to use for me than a ballpoint.
Fountain pins generally require even lighter pressure than the gel, also have a reliable line but I find use ink faster than a G2.
December 9, 2024 at 9:12 PM
Oh mine's no better, I assure you.
November 30, 2024 at 9:09 PM
Ok, but that's neat, precise & very legible. 10/10 no notes.
November 30, 2024 at 8:14 PM
I would agree; it's incredibly soothing.
November 26, 2024 at 1:01 PM
Ok, but your handwriting is lovely & legible. Don't sell yourself short.
