We need broad education rich in the humanities AND the sciences for EVERYBODY. We should be pushing that in our vision for the future or whatever exists of it moving forward. Stop letting the tech bros bully you out of your intellectual rights or your civil ones for that matter.

All of the skills I learned that make me (at least in my opinion) a good scholar were honed by the social sciences. My K-12 education was rich & I went to a liberal art college my freshman year before transferring to a state school. I took multiple English comp classes that taught me about rhetoric

It feels a little wrong to be excited about anything right now, but I just found my first proper gray hair and something about that silly little curl just sparked genuine joy that I’ve been struggling to feel the past few months, years really.

Okay so that latest episode of #DoctorWho fucked me up so bad I had a massive panic attack & sobbed on the floor for at least an hour 😅 Idk if I’ll be ready to talk about it literally any time soon. The fact that there wasn’t a content warning on this has me *livid*. But Happy Holidays I guess 🤦🏾♀️

I have always loved public libraries, but having young children has exponentially increased my gratitude and sense of indebtedness to them. Our local library is such a huge part of our lives. The books, the programming, the very intentionally curated kids’ section. It’s all such a gift.
