Reading an article about Guy Pearce’s experience working with Kevin Spacey on L.A. Confidential and how unsafe Guy felt on the set. My heart goes out to Guy Pearce and anyone who has ever been in any situation where they felt unsafe. 💕

I’ve realized that in the 2.5 years and counting that I’ve been living with chronic illnesses I’ve received the most empathy and understanding from a few select close friends and complete strangers. I feel a life shift coming.

Going through some older social media posts. This one still resonates with me. Well, they all do but something about this one, on this day.

As I extricate myself from Amazon (which for me is primarily Kindle) I’ve rediscovered my love of libraries. What I do miss is being able to highlight poignant sections in books and share them. So here’s a snapshot of a section from TJ Klune’s book Somewhere Beyond the Sea.

Learning to say no is one of the first steps in setting boundaries for yourself. It can be a work-in-progress but it's an important step for your mental health bcs you need to able to say yes to the things that resonate with you. It's impossible to say yes to everything because you'll face burnout.

I'm five years sober. It still surprises me that people don't think I'm an alcoholic. Read my post about why I didn't tell anyone I was going to stop drinking, and how I finally figured out how to stand in my truth.

In my solo play 2/1 on Zoom, I talk about the healing power of Doctor Who. "I would turn on the TV and watch this amazing alien from the planet Gallifrey use wit, charm, ingenuity, and sometimes even a little Venusian aikido, to put the monsters in their place."

Currently working on a new story (book?) “In the Garden of Monsters.” Someday when it’s published and someone asks me where I got the idea I’m going to say, “My childhood.”

Life really is stranger/more horrifying than fiction.

And I’m working on harnessing that.

Sometime during the night of November 5th I fell into an alternate reality. I can’t seem to escape it but I can decide who I’m going to be in this new world order.

I’m going to follow in the footsteps of the Edelweiss Pirates. Look them up.
