Widowed and nonbinary. I talk a lot about Star Trek, Ohio, cats, dinosaurs, and whatever I’m watching. The Columbus Dispatch once called me a “local cartoonist and customer-service rep.” (They/Them)

The Grumpy Gourmet is in this episode! I had no idea he was still alive.
He was Columbus’ predominant curmudgeonly newspaper food critic in the 1980s.

There is way too much happening in this animated movie about time traveling turkeys attempting to change the menu of the first Thanksgiving.

I had no idea Thankskilling 3 was basically going to be Meet The Feebles. I’m only 12 minutes in, but it’s on track to rival Planes, Trains and Automobiles as the greatest Thanksgiving movie of all time.

I’ve been trying to figure out why I’m frustrated about the direct references to Alien in Predator: Badlands, and I think it’s because it feels like The Disney Corporation Family of Brands telling me how to play with my toys. It takes the fun away from drawing connections and spotting Easter eggs.

(Mostly I’m just curious how it plays on the Switch 2. But this is such a comfortingly familiar game, I’m probably still going to wind up living in Skyrim for a little bit.)

I’m still thinking about the passage of time in Train Dreams. I’m probably an outlier, but as someone who has only subscribed to Netflix for three months in the past two years, their strategy of actual theater releases might be what gets me to keep it around more.
