This is the second most terrifying thing I found in my piles of old crap. 🤣 #1 was 2 mixed box of stashed papers, junk, and art from college. Now 1 box. In my shed. 🤣 I don't really have a choice but to deal with it, now that we have to clean out the family home/grand-folks' house/stash hub. 💀

The marriage of 2 loves: furries and Disney's "Pete's Dragon" (1977). Based on the song description, and designed for my own body type as a fursuit. Elliott was one of my favorite characters as a kid, and the song "It's Not Easy" is still one of my favorite film allegories for tolerance.

I drew one of my characters on the back of a bookmark I made and sent it to my editor. :) The tree is a Palmetto (or Cabbage Palm), the state tree of South Carolina, also featured on our flag. Ink pen w/grayscale and metallic silver marker. #paleoart #scifi #writersky #dinosaur #deltadromeus

It's not his goddamn house. He didn't pay for it. He doesn't own it. He's not supposed to own it. This wasn't his choice to make. I don't care who's paying for the stupid ballroom because it shouldn't exist in the first place.

I feel ill every time I see this.

"Perimeter's scouted, Mom. Ready to go, now." 😂 I made him stay for a few more minutes after all the trouble to get here, but he was more interested in scoping the place out, then went right back to the car. 🤣 He'd have made a good working dog.

I bought this a while back, but I haven't really been in a great headspace to read it. I pretty much already know the overview of how it went in the South (the consequences still haunt us), but I don't often hear about the North.

Think I'll give it a chance today.

I finally found the perfect sticker so I can put this book on my shelf without that thrice-accursed crooked symbol staring back at me. 🤣 the cat eating their stupid mark is pure poetry to me.

His desperation is unreal. 😂 He will have his nightly spot on schedule, no matter the obstacle.

On today's episode of crippling anxiety and imposter syndrome from the back of the forklift: Trying to stay driven in the coming fascist storm, and convince myself that my work might mean something to someone. 💀

I do this every fucking day, now.

Just for fun, a couple of old drawings of one of my beloved Ryozae shapeshifters, Zick. I don't usually share my own drawings because I just don't make as much as I used to, so I wanted to shake things up.

#Dinosaur figure based off the noasaurid reconstruction of Deltadromeus.

Me: "eBay has everything, and there's a reissue of the guitar style, so how hard can it be to find parts?"

The part in question: Nowhere to be found, except still attached to their respective instruments.

The requirement isn't currently on the syllabus, however. It's unclear what's going on, but it sure looks like the post is fake or outdated.

Current syllabus:

The Felon just went after the college of SC's top STEM Uni and beloved football team. 🐯🏈 Because of a LibsofTikTok post.

(UofSC fans 🐓 don't come after me. 🙏 I live in Tiger Country and this ain't the time.)

I made a thing on the Meta site. Made it an image to make it bigger and louder because not enough people are screaming it.

We have a system to prevent exactly THIS [gestures broadly].

Me: "I don't see myself playing bass in the near future."

Also me: "Jfc that's gorgeous. Yes, please. Anything for you, my dear." 🤣 www.schecterguitars.com/Corsair-Bass

Hollow body. My one weakness. 🤣

Side by side with my new therapy instrument. ❤️🎼🎶🎵🎶🎵🎸

Happy very early (by a couple of months lol) birthday to me. ❤️

Bonus round! My old Hondo student guitar from 1991. So, so cheap. 🤣 But had surprisingly good sound, for what it was. And since I didn't tag #musiciansky before, here ya go. Enjoy photos of old guitars.

The Strat today!
September 6, 2025 at 1:48 AM
He wants his Stratocaster back, which I had paid to have cleaned and restored, and have cared for ever since, so I'm trying to see how much I can stack the value of the Strat + my efforts against the value of his instruments to work out a trade.

Going through old photos so I can gather them together and show them to an expert, in a final bid to convince him to let me save his guitars. The ES-325 doesn't appear to be one of Gibson's more desirable models, but it's still pretty and IMO still deserves love and at least a humidity monitor.

Guys ... I want to save these guitars and my uncle won't let me because he thinks touching it will damage its value. 💀 This has been eating away at my soul for years. (the neck is warped, so it's "worthless but not," apparently) --details in alt text

This is the best thing I've ever done for myself, in terms of journaling. Keeping everything in special separate little sacred-purpose books doesn't do it for me. Just like I learned to use sketchbooks for note-taking in college. I'm figuring this out at 40, lol. Better late than never?

An "emergency appeal." It's okay, Wilson, we already know you're a hateful bastard. No need to break out the highlighters.

I mean it's not a 1:1 imitation, but it's close enough. :D
