Wrote this poem first in 2019, and the piece was finalized in 2022. Read it again recently and man did that transport me to those two eras. I’m so glad I’m out of them, but I’m happy the guy felt what he needed to feel and grow from.

Glad you are here and safe! That’s the most important. And yes! Absolutely, that is a normal human response to something like that. Before tech, and the fast paced life style, imagine how long people used to deal with such events? Have grace for yourself as you navigate those feelings.
