Democratic leadership has been screaming about voter enthusiasm for months, and then they unsuccessfully try to tank the guy who has captivated the country. Jeffries and Schumer are unserious people

That was quick. Maybe they'll end up with Kirk Cousins after all

Damn, Chuck is taking off the gloves. That'll show 'em!

Right? Like he has a choice. Way to completely misread the moment, Chuck

So for those keeping score at home: the House Dem Caucus, the Dem Base, Pelosi, nearly all vulnerable Dem senators, and now the labor union repping the most government workers are all wrong, but Schumer and Fetterman are right. Insane logic here

Another purple state Dem who's not afraid of taking a chance and standing up for what's right. Proud of Kaine and Warner

Who is he listening to if he's lost the entire House, the moderate Senate Dems, and is now getting knifed by Pelosi? Not too late to turn this around
March 14, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Schumer wants you to believe that he can’t do things when he has the majority because of the filibuster and that he can’t stop things when he is in the minority despite the filibuster. Zero juice for this fight

The dude is navigating this like it's any other normal administration. Same old maneuvers. Republicans did all they could to stop Obama in 2009 and were rewarded with a landslide victory in 2010. Stop playing so safe!

He's legitimizing these DOGE cuts if they go ahead with this. If the government shuts down and Elon and Doge do it anyway, at least Dems can say they tried to stop it. That's not the case anymore. A total Democratic self-own.
March 14, 2025 at 3:30 AM
Schumer is saying, "We need to fight them every step of the way" and gives up on the literal first step. DOGE and Trump are already unilaterally firing people in mass and cutting funding. A shutdown does not change that. So why give them the go ahead?
March 14, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Trump is already unpopular. The economy is in shambles and getting worse. Consumer confidence is dropping like a stone. They're throwing him a lifeline because he might be more unpopular in six months? It's a nonsensical argument.

His arguments make no sense. They're already impounding funding, why would you willingly give them another seven months of this? Try SOMETHING

Republicans take their pound of flesh no matter what. Dems will seemingly never learn

These guys are seriously underestimating the political blowback they'll see from this base. People are fed up with a party that refuses to fight for them. I'm a pretty middle-of-the-road Dem, and I am absolutely furious.
March 14, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Ossoff, Kelly, Gallego, and Warner, the most vulnerable Senate Dems, are all opposing the CR. Who are these safe Dems pushing for this bullshit?
