Sigh. So I was diagnosed with pneumonia last Wednesday. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be getting better, but worse. Guess I may be going back in today. Damn it. This is taking FOREVER to kick!

They're called a bollard. For what it's worth, I didn't learn that until my environmental design class a couple of years ago. I was already in my 50s at the time.

Thanks! I've got it down to under 101. No clue what it is or why it just hit out of the blue like that. I'm no longer chilling and this time it doesn't come with an upset stomach, so I can eat and drink fine so that's something. Not too impressed with 2025 so far!

That kitten just looks like it's done for the day and nothing's going to change it's mind! What a great picture and I appreciate they're saving any life they can.

What sucks the most for me is that growing up in the 70s and 80s during the Lethal Weapon movies and so on, I REALLY liked him. Then he went insane and became ugly inside and out (or he took the mask off and showed the truth). Disappointing either way.

That picture is a spot of light in a dark situation. Can't stress enough how much I appreciate Mexico (and Canada) sending help in spite of the hateful rhetoric coming from our incoming President. We definitely appreciate them!

I - like every US adult, know the frustration of dealing with insurance companies. However, I can only imagine what level of ire a physician must feel to write a letter like this. It is absolutely insane that standard treatments are so often denied.

If Trump follows through on selecting cabinet members from Congress like he's stated he intends to do, there will have to be special elections to replace them - which might be an opportunity to turn one section blue.

I genuinely think there's a group of people in our nation that would vote for Trump no matter what. He could commit the most heinous act in front of them and they would find a way to excuse it. Given that, nothing I say would change their minds.

It really doesn't matter how unhappy I might be with the current situation, I'm still not voting for a felon, liar, adjudicated rapist and man who has promised to increase prices via tariffs.
