Well, shit. Last week I caught norovirus that was sweeping the shelter. 103+ fever for the first time in literally 5 decades. Got past it, 3 days feeling well, and came home with a deep cough and 103.6 fever. This is insane and wtaf?? At least I got it dropped to 101, but I NEVER get high fevers!

So we've had a opossum visiting our yard recently - and driving the dogs insane. The older dog really messed up the last one, so we set a cage trap for it. It's now in the garage caged under a fabric (vented) until we can release it tomorrow eve. Always something!

Me, checking shipping dates for Black Friday purchases and nervously noting that one hasn't been picked up by the carrier yet - but was originally scheduled to be here tomorrow. Did it get misplaced? Is there a problem? Or are they just running behind or failed to update their information. 😬

So my kids best friend growing up (who later became my legal daughter) was raised in a house that didn't value reading. Each yr for Christmas I'd get a list of the books she wanted - and even if secondhand, would make sure she got them. At 21yrs old she still asks for books 📚❤️
