The best you could do after someone was murdered by ICE was half-ass emotion in your voice while you did apologia. Why don't you sit this one out and go back to doing what you do best, which is nothing, so a real grownup can step in an actually help. They deserve better than you.

I watched this again today(context: I was born in the US but now I am an immigrant/social scientist studying in Mexico). It revalidated the connections I see between current dynamics and fundamental need to decolonize. So much has been stolen from all of us, and we all need to fight the sickness.

It definitely fits with the fact that we know Trump and many of his group have been Russian assets. There's always a mix of motivations and agendas, so there are some in the administration that are definitely thinking of Greenland like lebensraum, but dismantling NATO is a real part of it too.

Have you heard about the idea that elephants have communal syntax? Also, I think the fact that they clearly have culture and patrimony should be enough to remind us of their complex social needs. Just like with humans, individualism is bunk and they have interesting societies.

They cut out "the love is gone". It's emotionally rough, but I think it's necessary for other musical moments to make sense at the end and it's important for the story.

Last year for the first time I discovered there's a version that cut a whole scene in the middle of watching it. I hated it. I had to raw dog it when I was 3, and I think a bunch of stuff later on didn't make as much sense without it.

I feel the last few years people have been putting much more effort into constructing straw men or inventing whole cloth what was said/written than it would have taken to just listen to or read what's going on. It feels like we are dealing with a widespread lack of literacy, and it's troubling.

Also, I don't know if it's important to anyone but me, I was thinking about how your work made me miss academic work and analysis (my background is philosophy of science)...and I think it helped me go back to school. Now I'm a freaking social scientist (archeology/anthropology/history).
