Started @ Disney Feature Animation in 1974. Best known for the Disney Afternoon, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, among others. Also, two Hellboy Animated features. Retired and selling art @ cons when they invite me.
It's not enough to make comics; you have to get people to buy them! Here's a live interview with Greg Weisman and I about the Gargoyles/Darkwing Duck crossover coming out in January, now enshirned forever on YouTube

Sometimes Christmas expertise resides only in the mind of the "expert." Merry Christmas to all you try to keep holiday traditions and joy throughout the season.

It's always nice to have a small helper that can crawl under the low branches while Dad uses his expertise to string the lights on the Christmas tree.

"The Flying Duckman," My gallery piece for James Silvani's PIRATES A Graphic History (but not that kind of graphic). Funny but actual history. Available at www.silvaniart.com

I had an editor tease me for referring to the letterer by name in a note on a script before we had hired him or even talked about it.

It was something like “TAYLOR give me some kind of radio effect here.”

Pick your whole team. Open doors for people. Say their names in rooms of opportunity.
Comics writers and artists — please request your favorite colorists and letterers when working on a new project with a publisher. Can’t hurt to ask. (And if you don’t really care who letters/colors your work…that’s disappointing on a lot of levels.)

This is brilliant.
It's 20 years since @seanphillips.bsky.social and I exchanged a sketchbook back and forth in the mail, a drawn &painted call and response. INTERSECTIONS may be out of print but here is a flip through that sketchbook. You can still find the book out there :)

I think even for people who aren't artists, there are many who enjoy art as a human feat of skill and expression even if they are doing no art creation themselves. Even if AI art was better then human art, and it's not, no one gives a shit that a forklift can carry more then a weightlifter.

Recorded a fun WORD BALLOON podcast with John Siuntres and Greg Weisman about the Gargoyles - Darkwing Duck crossover coming out in January. Look for it to post this Friday. Lots of cool behind the scenes from DC comics, and Disney TV Animation.
