I prefer the "cam" (as it's called) at waist heigh because there's resistance all the way through the exercise, where I don't feel it as much when the can is set at head-level.

I did workout yesterday, just didn't post here.

PRs on Incline DB Press & DB Row. Finally moved up from 42.5s to 45. Also increased reps on Triceps extension & Face Pull.

I do Triceps with cable box @ waist height, but someone said it should be at head-level. What do you prefer?

New PR on Planks (on purpose) & PR on Zottmans (by accident) because I couldn't find 22.5s, so I had to use the 25s.

For counting total weight, double the Dumbbell Rows & Reverse Lunges. 12,600 total moved today.

Figured out that FitNotes can create supersets & I continue to love it.

What's off about the "total volume" is that both the Dumbbell Rows and Reverse Lunges should be doubled in that count, because I do a set on the left and a set on the right. Actual total volume is 10,340.

Added planks to superset w/the Zottmans today. Haven't planked in 2 months.

Elliptical Ruck Day 2. Not as tiring as Day 1. 🤪

Too long on the warm ups so only hit weight rack. RDLs continue to be tough at this weight, but doable. As w/Mon, racks were full at start, so I had to do t-bar rows instead of bent over rows.

Stronger tomorrow.

Couldn't sleep, so got in early & did everything on my Push Day list! Moved into more supersets, & I like them b/c I usually have v. limited time.

Also, after listening to Dan John podcast, I tried Elliptical with 10 lb weight in ruck & I really felt it. Added it to both day regimens.

Subbed in t-bar row b/x racks were taken. RDLs at 205 are a mental struggle, more than a physical one. Same with squats, wh/is why I did 155s at first.

A weak, picked-on, beat up, injured teenage me still lives rent free in my head. I need to evict him.

Had some extra time this morning, so was able to do a few more exercises.

I like alternating dumbbell rows w/incline press. If you have suggestions for alternating exercises on diff. muscle groups using same or similar equipment, please let me know!

Well, y'all finally got to me. I was walking out of the weights area, past the machines, on the way to the elliptical. My total volume was like 7100. I saw the crunch machine and thought, I could get better numbers on the day, if....

So I did. Are you happy now, ya filthy animals?

This is going to sound like a humblebrag, but I accidentally hit a PR on RDLs today. Basically b/c I'm a dumbass.

Running late today & used the Smith machine. B/c I can't count, I added 40 lbs instead of 20 to the bar. & then mentally yelled at myself when I was struggling. 🤦

Back at the gym after a week off. Lost a bit of my gains, but trying a new routine with getting up 15 minutes earlier and getting more time in.

With the cut, I was pleased that after T'giving week off, I did not gain weight while I could not monitor food or weight.

Couldn't get the 2nd set of Hanging done today, but hit PRs on the Crunch Machine and High Rows.

Making it through the RDLs. Hopefully won't lose momentum during break, b/c I could move up 10lbs after another week at 185. Still 40lbs away from EOY dream goal.

Found out that FitNotes will show total volume for a workout (Workout > Analysis > Breakdown). Mine dropped a bit today because I stopped the Barbell Shrugs.

Got back to PR on Bent Over Row, now that form is better. And hit a new PR on RDL reps.

13,410 lbs moved.
