The most boring person on the face of the planet. Aspiring potter. Likes cheese. Collector of things - mainly Fiesta, McCoy and Haeger pottery, vintage/antique clocks, midcentury lamps, and shiny things.
Thank you. 😊 She's a Balinese, which is basically a long-haired Siamese with a big fluffy tail.

Oh yes, in the crate it's a completely different story. Whenever we have to evacuate for hurricanes, she will yowl non-stop the entire time we're in the car. Last time, because of traffic, that went on for 3 1/2 hours. Each way.

Thank you! She's not as vocal as some Siamese, but she gets her point across. She trills a lot when she's happy, which is most of the time. She's a real sweetheart.

Thank you! I still have the original window price sticker from the used car lot I bought it from. I paid $3,250 for it in 1985. Seems weird to think that the car was only 18 years old at the time. That would be like buying a 2007 car now and thinking that it's a classic. LOL

Thank you very much! I have already bought a used wheel and kiln and now need to carve out some space in the house to set up a little studio. 😊

I love a good Father Ted reference! 😊

Definitely! You could tell from a distance whether it was a Plymouth or a Buick or a Chevy. Now everything looks pretty much the same. Bonus - you could actually work on them yourself!

Ah, thank you! That is indeed what it's called. Looks like it was first produced in 1940.

@aquavirago.bsky.social Do you have any further insight into this teapot? I'm not really sure what the line is called or when it was produced and thought you might know some more about it.

My friend lives on Whidbey Island and texted me this morning to tell me that they felt it there too.

I wish people wouldn't post spoilers! I haven't seen it yet! 😬

Cats & pots & cats & pots & cats & pots! Keep 'em coming! 😀

It's true. They all seem to be falling in line for some reason. Target is especially upsetting to me. We are lucky that we still have Costco and Aldi nearby, but some things we need are not available at either one.

It saddens me to find out that so many places that we've shopped at for years are feeding the negative forces in this country. I'd say we've cut out spending $ at 75% of those places. No one can do it perfectly - just do what you can. Even small efforts taken collectively will make a difference.

I have an almost identical stack of them myself. 😊
