I was going to say buy singles, but they'd be from other people gambling. However, if you buy a Commander deck, they aren't randomized so they should be safe. I was going to suggest Secret Lairs too, but sometimes the bonus card is randomized with expensive hits, so those ones would be.

A radio station in my city used to play old radio plays at night and for a while I was listening to them before going to sleep.

It clearly never died but it's not the cultural juggernaut it was before television. I just thought it was kinda neat how radio dramas and comedies pretty much did die out with television, but now there are podcasts in that realm.
