So far, I have tried this only for a published paper (see screenshot), not for an unpublished document. However, this particular function of scite.ai looks interesting to me for analyzing references in (e.g.) paper drafts not written by me.

If you mean checking how students referenced previous work in their writing, scite.ai may be an interesting tool. After uploading a document, it provides a list of references, allows you to easily access these references, and shows you where the references have been used.
