The Mosin-Nagant (PU model 1942 sniper rifle): a History of its use from World War II to the Modern Day
My Mosin-Nagant PU. It has gone to a new home, but it was a really pretty rifle! Up close shot, featuring the PU scope, and the bent bolt handle. Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a famous sniper for the Soviet Union during World War II. Here, she is holding a PU model. She is credited to have 309 confirmed kills, and was involved in the sieges of Odessa and Sevastopol. A photo of the Russian soldier in the invasion of Ukraine. Here, he is equipped with a Mosin-Nagant PU, probably out of Russian storage from the Cold War.
