I agree.

In a functioning democracy, we would already be in the midst of an impeachment trial.

Watching @joshuacitarella.bsky.social’s Doomscrolling on YouTube. A snippet that put the current political landscape into such focus was “the narcissism of small differences”. The pol center is a wasteland, and and the growth is on the extreme edges of pol views. The bell curve has inverted.

The right wing media in the US is trying to bury the opposition. We're just going to need to be louder next time. #handsoff
I scanned dozens of newspapers from around the U.S. & world. On average, international newspapers cover the widespread protests against Trump/Musk and for democracy much more prominently on their covers than those in the U.S.
This isn’t due to deadlines, protests were daytime in the U.S. #handsoff

Imagine pretending to believe - as Musk, Ackman etc are - that the Newsom/Bass response to the LA wildfires is worse than the Trump response to the pandemic. Studies suggest *tens of thousands* of Americans died needlessly as a result of Trump’s monumental mishandling of COVID.

Saw Whitney Cummings’ video making fun of the LA fire chief and deputies being gay on X, and that is an extremely distressing development I was sort of not expecting. If big comedy names are testing the water to see what they can get away with as culture shifts right, idk man. Bad shit.
