And think of that person's supporters! Think about telling them this person you like wants this terrible thing! How do you think that affects what they believe is good or bad!?

2: Better to let them retcon their reputations and stand against Trump terror than to tell them they're hypocrites for defecting. That is a terrible fucking idea.

If you want people to defect, make it easy. If you want the terror to continue, shame the people who start to stand against it.

That bit about it being fear and *disgust* is important, too. We don't necessarily categorize them together in pop psychology/laypeople understanding, but they're processed by the same part of the brain, and disgust is, arguably, itself a type of fear.

They didn't even catch him lying about it! The entire story is just, "15 years ago a political candidate had an understanding of his own race and ethnicity that didn't perfectly map onto the categories used on college admissions forms."
