This is all too familiar.
Someone once said to me 'Scarfolk has 100s of 1000s of followers, and then there were the books & merch, TV/film options, etc. You must be rolling in it by now'.

There’s no money, no opportunities, massive audiences mean nothing, talent and hard work mean nothing, experience means nothing. It’s just impossible to earn a living. I’m the most optimistic to ever optimism about career stuff and even I’m losing hope.

I don’t often go to clubs anymore, so I’m not discovering new music in the way that I used to.
I’ll continue buying music on Bandcamp, but is there a streaming service that doesn’t fleece artists? I really don’t want to give #Spotify my money.
