I agree with the point about being temporarily embarrassed vivziepops, btw. but I think the reality is that the issues you claim are due to AI are endemic to the economic system of organization we live in, and not AI.

Because that's not true, and not how the technology works, or alternatively are issues with the entire state of the digital world, and something that you would have to take up with the entire system of information-driven society, not selectively with AI.

I don't say this because I care about defending AI but because, as a communist, I think it matters that we say things that are true and correct and make analyses that are grounded in reality. Can you provide any legitimate sources at all that indicate this waste and exploitation?

the reality is that SNAP exists, like many things, to make sure there aren't riots in the fucking street every week. and to make sure that workers don't just straight up fucking throw their bosses out of their 15th story office windows.
November 4, 2025 at 5:09 PM
what this means is that people forget Why SNAP exists: not as a "handout" to "lazy people," neither as a "mechanism of social welfare" towards "helping vulnerable people"; SNAP exists, like many elements of the bourgeois state, to appease the masses such that they do not immediately lash out.

as such, the conflicting class interests between the bourgeois / petit bourgeois and the proletariat should be considered a having primacy over any other political-economic organizational priorities.
November 4, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Total. Which is, granted, a lot of money! But trivially not enough to survive on. The vast majority of my income (to the point where my petit bourgeois economic interests are trivial and meaningless) is predicated on proletarianized labor. I am first and foremost a proletarian. I am a laborer.
November 4, 2025 at 4:56 PM
but the reality is that proletarianization is a historically progressive process and one which I have no issues with and which I have no sympathy about towards the people who balk and shriek in terror at the prospect of being proletarianized.
November 4, 2025 at 4:52 PM
the petit-bourgeois artist has class interests which conflict with the class interests of the proletariat. they are a moribund political class, which will inevitably become proletarianized. and upon proletarianization, we welcome you with open arms towards building the conditions of socialism.

the real threat lies in how automation threatens the grasp that the shrinking petit-bourgeois / artisan class has on their private property (and the way many of these "independent businesses" are simply people who send their designs to be manufactured by women in China, many are simply bourgeois)
