Someone told me once that regardless of degree completed, a "Physicist" is just one who studies physics. In that context, I like to think of myself a physicist moreso than any of my other professions or skills. Which are humorous in number at this point.

If anybody wonders what I shoot with:
Nikon: Zf, D800, F5
Leica: M7, M10, M10M, M6-Reissue
I did not think it possible for Tim Kaine to lower the bar any further, but somehow he has, by questioning whether or not the guy who committed war crimes in broad daylight actually did anything wrong, but instead questioning "if it's true."

Tim Kaine is a fascist.

Thought, what the photography community of bluesky were to take a ton of images using vintage lenses with excessive amounts of spherical aberration and then make sure they're fed into OpenAI somehow?

A little quantum mechanics, a little nightshade, just to see what happens?

Today I found out that @profanity.accountant exists.

How rookie are my numbers?

Took another sunrise trip to Point Judith this morning, to put the M11-P to use with the Thambar. A bit cloudier than I’d hoped for, but a beautiful scene nonetheless the less.

My hot take:

If it's good mac'n'cheese, it'll be good cold. (Irresistible when warm, but still good cold).

Per David Sacks, a reversal on AI would "risk a recession" since it makes up too much of our GDP.

Per Jensen Huang "AI is not a bubble" because someone on Twitter said so, and quote "We are not Enron"

GDP is an outdated metric, and if your GDP is destroying the world, then the GDP's gotta give.

No no it's fine, the people responsible for the microplastics in your brain, the PFAS in your kidneys, multiple extinction events, and the retreating ice sheets are totally reformed and gonna do the right thing now.

They're even gonna pay a living wage and not pass the tariffs on to you.

No, no he cannot lead it. In point of fact he is using his position to proactively destroy trust in scientific institutions. There are real people who dedicate their lives to mitigating the damage that you’re handing a microphone.

Julius Streicher comes to mind.
Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

Sometimes I wish I'd added a photojournalism minor. But now I'm four semesters from graduation, and the only way to do it is to stack all of them at 18 credit hours a piece, which my academic advisor warned me would be rather foolish.

Off to go see if I can photograph some harbor seals, conditions finally look ideal, tides and weather have lined up nicely today, so here goes.

It's clear that @kaine.senate.gov thinks that federal employees are stupid and don't talk to each other.

He's a bald faced liar, and a coward. Federal employees held, and were willing to hold, and told him to hold the line. He chickened out.

Come 2030, if y'all want, I will primary his ass.
November 14, 2025 at 1:51 AM
I just had a stupid idea.

Who wants to see me get drunk like I'm 24 again and try to do a bunch of math around renewable and green energy options vs. the impact of continued dependence on fossil fuels?

Maybe we get Exxon's CEO to bet the company on if I can do that and drink him under the table?

Trump is once again asking the Supreme Court to let him starve 14% of the population right before thanksgiving.

Dear @kaine.senate.gov

What in the actual fuck do you think you’re doing?

My attempts to photograph harbor seals yesterday afternoon and c/2025 a6 Lemmon last night were a bust, but in the process I did get to photograph this phenomenon of a rainbow occurring inside a cloud. So the day wasn't a total loss.

Politicians derelict in their duty should be subject to the same consequences as a member of the armed forces who is derelict in their duties during a time of war.

Refusing to swear in a duly elected representative is, regardless of circumstance or session, a dereliction of duty.

This article is an example fossil fuel industry astro-turfing: environmentalprogress.org/big-news/202...

Can wind farms interfere with cetaceans? Yes. Is it linked to cetacean mortality? Not particularly. It's not impossible, but it's an order of magnitude lower than a drilling rig.

People get the Gulf War photos of Kuwaiti oil fields *on fire* after retreating Iraqi troops set them *on fire* are evidence the US and allied troops failed to protect/secure/whatever these oil fields?

I want to emphasize that an oil well *on fire* is a nightmare from multiple perspectives.

Listening to 2000s metal, and doing some academic research on the Ambler road, as well as the statistics surrounding the environmental of wind turbines versus fossil fuels.

Somebody's gotta debunk this disastrous administration despite the risk.

There's no time to be a coward.
